Daniel J. Quirk
Dan Quirk has owned the Fore River Shipyard since 2003. Mr. Quirk is a prominent businessman with a number of large automobile dealerships in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
He is personally involved in every aspect of the planning and leasing of the Shipyard.
John E. Dobie
John E. Dobie, originally from Jamaica Plain, has resided on the South Shore since 1973. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a concentration in Urban Planning and a professional degree in Architecture from the College of Engineering, Mr. Dobie served as Senior Urban Designer for the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) for fourteen years and spearheaded the redevelopment of Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the Boston waterfront. Mr. Dobie also served as Executive Director at planning and redevelopment agencies in Manchester, NH and Columbus, OH. During two separate stints in the private sector, Mr. Dobie served as Development Manager for the design and construction of two major Boston buildings, 200 State Street and 131 Dartmouth Street. In 2003, Mr. Dobie became Planning Director for Dan Quirk at the Fore River Shipyard Redevelopment Project.
Gary Maule
Gary Maule is an urban designer with 30 years of experience preparing development opportunity and revitalization studies for a variety of public and private clients. His international project portfolio includes redevelopment plans and guidelines for downtowns, and urban historic communities, neighborhood preservation plans, and land planning recommendations and design and development guidelines for commercial corridors. Besides his urban design background, Mr. Maule brings extensive experience in the design and implementation of public infrastructure improvements such as parks, plazas, and streetscapes for a variety of historic, retail, and planned community settings. Mr. Maule’s education includes Graduate Studies in Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University.
